Tide-pools

High tide and low tides are driven by the gravitational force of the moon and this creates movements of waves at daily basis. Tidal range is the average vertical distances between low and high tide, while tidal current is the change in water levels at different tides. Sometimes, a tidal bore is able to create a wave front that runs into a river or bay. Tide-pools occur when the shore reaches the lowest tide, this is where a lot of marine organisms exposed to air. Try discovering if you see low tide is coming!
